1. Scope#

This Privacy Policy applies to software applications developed and published by Temuri Takalandze, operating as ABGEO (“we,” “us,” “the Developer”), that link to this page (each, an “Application”). If a specific Application publishes its own privacy policy, that document governs instead of this one.

This Policy does not cover the abgeo.dev website itself, which may use its own analytics tools independently of any Application.

2. Who We Are#

The Developer is Temuri Takalandze, based in Tbilisi, Georgia. For any request related to this Policy, contact us using the details in Section 11.

3. How the Applications Work#

The Applications covered by this Policy are open source. Some run entirely on your device and connect directly to third-party services you choose to authorize, such as Slack or Google, without a server operated by the Developer in between. Others rely on a backend server operated by the Developer to provide their functionality. Source code for each Application, and for any backend it uses, is published on GitHub at https://github.com/ABGEO, where you can review exactly what it does and how it handles data.

Sections 4, 7, and 8 describe how data is handled in each case. If a specific Application’s own documentation gives a more detailed or different description, that description applies.

4. Information We Collect#

The categories of data processed depend on whether an Application runs entirely on your device or relies on a backend server operated by the Developer.

Applications without a Developer-operated backend:

  • Account and authentication data. If the Application connects to a third-party service (such as Slack or Google), it uses OAuth to obtain an access token directly from that service. This token is stored locally on your device, in your operating system’s secure credential store (such as the macOS Keychain), and is not sent to the Developer.
  • Content accessed through authorized services. The Application may read or write data on your behalf within a third-party service it connects to, for example a calendar event or a status message. This data stays between your device and that third-party service.
  • Local configuration and preferences. Settings you configure within the Application are stored locally on your device.

Applications with a Developer-operated backend: the specific data the backend receives, logs, or stores, such as account identifiers, authentication tokens, or content you send through the Application, is described in that Application’s own documentation. Absent a more specific statement there, the Developer processes only what is needed to provide the Application’s functionality and does not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. How Information Is Used#

Any data an Application processes is used solely to provide the Application’s stated functionality on your device. We do not use this data for advertising, do not build user profiles, and do not sell or rent it to third parties.

6. Third-Party Services#

If an Application integrates with a third-party service, your use of that service is governed by that provider’s own privacy policy and terms. This includes, among others, Slack and Google. Where an Application uses the Google API Services, its use and transfer of information received from those APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Data Storage and Security#

Data handled entirely on your device is stored using the security mechanisms provided by your operating system, and you remain responsible for the physical and account-level security of your own device. Where an Application uses a backend operated by the Developer, that backend applies reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data in transit and at rest; the Application’s own documentation may describe these in more detail.

8. Data Retention#

Data stored only on your device remains there until you delete it yourself, for example by disconnecting an integration, clearing the Application’s stored credentials, or uninstalling the Application. Where an Application uses a backend operated by the Developer, that backend retains data only for as long as needed to provide the Application’s functionality, unless a longer period is required by law. An Application’s own documentation may state a more specific retention period.

9. Your Rights#

Depending on where you live, applicable law such as the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation, the Georgian Law on Personal Data Protection, or the California Consumer Privacy Act may give you rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and the right to object to certain processing.

For an Application that stores data only on your device, you can typically exercise these rights yourself, directly on your device, by adjusting the Application’s settings or removing its stored data. For an Application with a Developer-operated backend, contact us using Section 11 and we will act on your request within the timeframe required by applicable law.

10. Children’s Privacy#

The Applications are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly design them to collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through an Application in a way this Policy doesn’t account for, contact us and we will address it.

12. Changes to This Policy#

We may update this Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of an Application after a change becomes effective means you accept the revised Policy.
